Our pastor, Scott Walsh, grew up in the snowbelt city of Rochester, New York.
He experienced a life-changing conversion to Jesus during his first semester
of college.
Priscilla Walsh enjoyed a stable childhood in Haddonfield, New Jersey outside of
Philadelphia. She was teaching and at work on her Master's degree in music
when, as a non-Christian, she began to attend Scott's home church in Rochester.
After her conversion and their marriage, Scott studied and graduated from
Wheaton College in Illinois, and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in
the Boston area.
In 1982 Scott and Priscilla took the leadership of the failing 20-person
Baptist church that is now Abundant Life Christian Center.
From their different backgrounds, Pastor Scott and Priscilla bring an
understanding of and passion for relationships that thrive. Much of their
time and effort is involved in marriage and family teaching, counseling,
and retreats.
