Our pastor, Scott Walsh, grew up in the snowbelt city of Rochester, New York. He experienced a life-changing conversion to Jesus during his first semester of college.

Priscilla Walsh enjoyed a stable childhood in Haddonfield, New Jersey outside of Philadelphia. She was teaching and at work on her Master's degree in music when as a non-Christian she began to attend Scott's home church in Rochester.

After her conversion and their marriage, Scott studied graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois, and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in the Boston area.

In 1982 Scott and Priscilla took the leadership of the failing 20-person Baptist church that is now Abundant Life Christian Center.

Oldest son, Brian, is presently on staff at Youth with A Mission, Jacksonville, Florida. He is actively involved in reaching those who have never heard of Jesus in the "10/40" latitude nations of the world. Oldest daughter, Courtney, is presently a student at the same YWAM school for missions. Daughter, Lindsay, is in her high school years and is preparing for a ministry in voice, while young Stephen is just trying to stay out of trouble!

From their different backgrounds, Pastor Scott and Priscilla bring an understanding of and passion for relationships that thrive. Much of their time and effort is involved in marriage and family teaching, counseling, and retreats.
